Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga in the tradition of Vanda Scaravelli. The spine lengthens and takes on it’s natural, wave-like movement when we relax, breathe and let go. A gentle, yet dynamic way of practicing.

Hatha for Core Strength

Our focus in this class is on strengthening, lengthening and releasing the spine. When we have a strong and flexible spine we can better support our whole body and move in response to our environment (or situation) with greater ease. Suitable for students of all levels.

Hatha/Restorative

The class begins slowly with deep stretches to open and relax your body and continues into an all levels hatha class. The end of class is dedicated to restorative poses. Our Friday night class is designed to help you rest and renew after a long week and is a great way to begin your weekend.

Viniyoga

Viniyoga is an approach to yoga that adapts yoga practice for the individual practitioner. Students are encouraged to work appropriately for their needs and suggestions are given towards this end. In the asana (posture) portion of these classes we will use repetition and stay, focus on function over form, and use breath as the medium for movement. In addition to asana, this class will have pranayama (breath work), meditation and mantra (chanting).

Restorative Yoga

With the aid of props such as blankets, bolsters, or the wall, we practice slowly and mindfully, restoring movement and flexibility to stiff joints, aching backs and tight necks and shoulders.
This is a meditative and restful class that helps to restore fullness and fluidity to the breath and quiet to the mind and nervous system. A good place to start if you are recovering from illness or injury.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa connects breath and movement in a more flowing and challenging style. Connected yoga postures, usually sun salutations, linked by the breath.

Restorative Vinyasa Flow

In this class we start out slowly in a few relaxing restorative poses, adding more movement until we are flowing through sun salutations. We gradually slow things down; opening into more deep restorative poses. This unique blend of different styles allows for a relaxing, invigorating class that is popular with students at every level.

Yin Yoga

A mindful practice that will help you move beyond your muscles and will particularly help stretch and nourish the dense connective tissues of the spine, pelvis, legs and feet. All postures will be practiced on the floor and explored for longer periods of time. This facilitates deep release of habitual holding patterns and will benefit students of all levels. No experience necessary.

Flow Yoga

Travel through the Chakras, uniting asana and breath. Explore your body and still your mind. Discover your individual edge without expectation, enjoy slowing down and learn to listen in. Flow yoga oxygenates the blood stream and promotes glandular health. Enjoy connecting breath and movement, class always ends with a long and nourishing Savasana.

Prenatal Yoga

Held in an easy going and safe environment, these classes are designed to help you stay in shape and prepare for the challenges of pregnancy and labor. Move through a series of poses that will help you to reduce discomforts associated with pregnancy such as inflammation, poor circulation and water retention.
Develop a deeper understanding of body alignment that will help you to adapt to the postural changes that will develop along with your pregnancy. Improve strength, flexibility and endurance while releasing tension and anxiety.
Connect with other expectant mothers, sharing your experiences, or simply come to chill out, meditate and move as much as you like. The class is yours and you decide how far you go!

Postnatal Yoga

This class is for women who are recovering from childbirth and adapting to their new lives as mothers. Stretch tired muscles, sore shoulders, aching hips and stabilize the two major joints in your body that are in recovery. Babies are welcome until they crawl!
