In 1997, I started practicing yoga to prevent my migraines from worsening. A few years later I realized I hadn’t had a migraine in a while and noticed that yoga positively impacted lots of people I knew. People felt better – stronger, calmer, greater range of motion, better posture, improved mental focus. I was curious to learn more and deepened my studies. I started teaching yoga in 2000.

People often tell me they are not flexible or strong enough to do yoga. My response is that you don’t have to be fit, strong, flexible, or supremely healthy to practice yoga. You can practice yoga as you are and benefit greatly.
