No previous yoga experience is necessary.
Yoga and meditation can be powerful tools for helping to manage anxiety and stress. In this series of classes you will learn specific techniques that can reduce both the short and long term symptoms of stress and anxiety.
We will practice simple yoga postures, breathing techniques and meditation, that will help to relieve tension in the body, soothe the nervous system and quiet the mind.
Some of the key techniques will be:

- Breath awareness and cultivating helpful ways of breathing

- Awareness of thought patterns

- Cultivation of “opposite thought”

- Yoga Nidra (guided, deep relaxation).
