My Story

Yoga has been a part of my life for the last 5 years.  My practice has helped me grow stronger, more fearless, and more spontaneous.  Both on and off the mat, yoga inspires me to live each moment more mindfully.  Yoga has given my family a chance to connect with a deeper sense of the meaning of joy and peace.

I completed my trauma-informed yoga training with Body Wise in 2019 and my 200 hour Hatha Yoga training with Twine Yoga School in 2020.  I will always be a student of the practice and am deeply grateful for the wisdom, freedom, and kindness that my teachers have taught me.  I have a deep passion for sharing my unique experience of yoga with the children and families in my community.

In my classes, I love to combine a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help children of all ages develop their own yoga practice. I seek to help children and families thrive in life by nurturing the body, mind, and soul with yoga and play.  My hope is that every student steps off the mat feeling balanced, lighthearted, and refreshed.

The mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness of our families has been tested this year.  Many families have not been able to access the emotional support they need.

It is time for children to reconnect and rediscover their joy.

“Play liberates our soul, grounds us into our body, and frees our creativity. Play gifts our spirit to the world!”

My Approach

My classes are designed to help children explore movement and breath in a fun, interactive environment.  A child is never too young to understand their emotions and discover what inspires joy. Lila Yoga and Wellness Studio is a unique space where we believe laughter, spontaneity, and lightheartedness are essential to a fulfilling yoga practice.

Each class is developed for specific stages of development.  Each yoga sequence explores emotions, coping skills, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques. Children are empowered in their journey to reclaiming their joy, peace, and wellbeing through yoga.
